Chris Davis ( Hitting and Fielding )

Chris is a 1998 graduate of West Scranton High School. Chris played with the West Scranton High School team and the West Scranton Post 920 Baseball team under Lou Sottile. Chris went on to receive a Bachelors Degree at Keystone College and a Masters Degree from Marywood University.

Chris’s coaching career began in 2001 with West Scranton High School’s Junior Varsity Program and with the West Scranton Post 920 Legion program. He coached one year with the junior varsity team and helped the team to a 10-0 record. Chris coached with Post 920  for 7 years and helped them to 2 league championships.

In 2005, Chris began coaching at Lackawanna College under Chris Pensak. Chris coached 6 years at Lackawanna College and helped to lead the program to their first Region Title in the school’s history. Chris was part of two championships at Lackawanna, which is currently a national powerhouse Junior College.

In 2010, Chris began coaching at Abington Heights High School as an assistant to Bill Zalewski. While assisting Coach Zalewski, Abington Heights has won 2013 and 2014 District Championships.

In 2010, Chris also began coaching and training with the Scranton Miners Travel Baseball Program. Chris’ teams has guided different age groups to numerous tournament championships during his time coaching the Miners. Chris is currently a trainer for BaseballUPa (the former Scranton Miners).

Chris began training at the Sandlot when the doors opened in 2010. Chris has organized the camps at the Sandlot and conducted private training in hitting and fielding.

Chris is employed by Lackawanna County and resides in Clarks Green with his wife and son.
